The present day child hardly gets a chance to associate with elders or play with others of her / his age. The young child of today maybe reared in a home where both parents are working. Today thee is hardly a’ spare adult “ in the family to care for them while their parents are at work.

Another rapidly growing phenomenon in our society is the one parent family due to divorce, death and desertion. In socially disadvantaged family children are under-nourished and early stimulation for cognitive and language development is not given by parents.

Children in law income families are not always adequately prepared for school during the pre-school age. There is no period in life when mental and physical growth takes place at such a rapid pace as when a child is two five years of age. Therefore it is very important to develop the child in her/ his growth in physical, mental and social aspects.

Let your child to be independent and free, let them play with even aged is very important. According to social scientists, ideological, a lot of children in early childhood age like to be with even aged and also like to be experienced.

A Montessori is a wonderful nursery for the child. Especially the ones who lives in flats, nuclear families, small families to associate, spend time playing with other even aged children.

The most important fact is that we should thoroughly keep in our mind that children in the age of 3yrs are very essential to let be and play with even aged children. It will help to grow and to develop the child in physicaly and intellectually. By doing this the child learns to play and how to spend time when their alone with other children. This is the one most important evidence in child in his early childhood.

It is essential for a child to have a space to run, jump, and move around in a Montessori. Also consequential for a Montessori to have a mat slide, sports goods, building blocks, toy trams, balls, sand pits, swings, and a ground suitable for the children etc. By this preschools as basal service polish the child’s intellectual and inner talents of the children.

Aims and Objectives

Aim A- Social/Emotional and Moral
Development of the child
Objective;
1. Helping the child to adjust to school
2. Helping the child to relate to people adult and children.
3. Emotional development through play (individual and group play)
4. Social training to help the child to interact with others.
5. Establishment of self confidence, self control and self discipline.
6. Moral development and respect for rules through play. (Stories)

Aim B- Intellectual development through observing, listening and doing
Objectives;
1. Understanding patterns and sequence.
2. Recognizing by observing. Listening and doing.
3. Recognition of cause and effect.
4. Encouraging developing child’s curiosity.
5. Comparing judging and problem solving.
6. Development of pre reading skills.

The modern prospectus of early childhood education all those concerned with the teaching of pre-school children should have clear aims and objectives.

What is an aim: Aim is a long term targeted declaration that a preschool should achieve. Example: Emotional and social development of the child. It helps to gain a long term view of the purposes the group is trying to achieve.

An objective is that how the aim is achieved.

Example: Aim- Social development of the child

Objective - Social training to help the child to interact with others as, group play.

There are difference showed in the child center education and teacher center education.

Principles of Preschool Education

The Concepts of Early Childhood Care and Education.

Numerous Philosophers, educators and social scientists had their views on the child’s nature, needs, aptitudes, and interests and they found that child’s total behavior is different from adult.

Early childhood education started as result of ideas exerted through educators as, Pestalozzi, Froebel and Montessori. In the nineteenth century those philosophers ‘ideas were spread among European countries happen to be arousing of an education for young children.

The pre-school educates centers can be recognized as two ways. That is child center education and the teacher centered education. Philosophers like Maria Montessori came to believe that the best way to develop a child in the early years is to let the child communicate through the environment.
